    AR15 tool kit vs 308 tool kit

    I own the AR15 tool kit today and would like to start making 308 lowers.  Is the only difference in the two kits the side plates?  Do I just order the 308 side plates and I am good to go?

    Yep! Turned out a beautiful 308 billet lower I bought here with just new side plates. The top plates I'd been using for ar-15 lowers worked great!

    I have created seven lowers with the AR15 tool kit so, now it looks like I will be ordering the 308 plates and crank out a few of those.  Don't know what I am going to do with all these lowers yet.  Just having fun making them for now.
