The Slow Build Started

This will be a pistol build.
The only problem I encountered was the grip screw thread wasn't throughly cleaned up.
Went to the hardware store and bought a tap to clean it up and everything works flawlessly.

Re: The Slow Build Started

I love it when customers take quality pics.  Looks like youre on your way.  Make sure you get pics of the finished product.

Im curious what you mean by " thread wasn't throughly cleaned up".  Are you referring to the chips the thread makes?

Re: The Slow Build Started

Probably chips of metal that was anodized inside the thread.
A 1/4x28 chrome plated screw wouldn't go in so I re-tapped it
and everything is flawless now. No biggie...

Re: The Slow Build Started

You weren't joking when you said "slow build".  Its looking great so far.  If you haven't purchased an upper yet, shoot me an email at info@brokenarmory.com

We will have Vltor MUR-1A uppers available soon.  I can get you one for a price so low that I literally can not post it here.
