Finished Product
Many thanks to the folks at BA. I completed the first practice lower with a sh*tty Ryobi drill press, and while it turned out ok, the depth stop (or lack thereof) left a lot of pits in the bottom of the pocket. Returned the press (for multiple other reasons) and went with a larger Wen 12" 4214 before going to work on the billet lower from BA.
It's far from perfect and I still have a lot of learning to do, but it went much better the 2nd time around, and I couldn't be happier (ok, I could .. because we're perfectionists).
Here are the pics (tax stamp approved for the SBR, btw)
Now just waiting on the ATF for the can ....

Nice job! Nothing I see hurts the function of the weapon. Still pretty on the outside and I bet it shots.

Thanks guys. As soon as I can get up to the ranch we'll be trying it out! The Vltor upper was definitely expensive, but the crisp lines go great with the BA lower. By the time I get up there to shoot it, the suppressor stamp should be approved. Just gotta make sure the bullets are stable w/out the can since SilencerCo will only warranty 7" barrels and longer... this one's a 6.25" from KaK. I've talked to another guy who's used the same barrel w/ the same can with good results and no baffle strikes, so fingers crossed.
Again, I couldn't be happier w/ my BA jig and lower. Will be purchasing a 308 jig soon (after a 1911 project).

Why does every picture I see of the finished lower show half moon dill bit marks down the inside wall and along the top edge? Even in the helpful videos provided by BA there still present.

Yea, I got those on both of mine so far. I just figured it was from the smaller bits straying a little bit when plunging. I think on the next one I'm gonna try skipping the outer small holes and just spend more time with the end mill at the end.

The main reason for the drill marks down the well is the run out or "drift" of the drill press or straying as Flex said earlier. You will see this on one side and not the other, unless you change directions of the lower during the drilling process. Then when you mill the marks will be cut out unless something else is going on. Without spending several grand on a drill press or using a milling you will get some marks in the lower. It does hurt the function.
