Was defiantly a fun project. I almost wish it had been harder! took about four to five hours total over three days.​I used my late 90s era craftsmen 10" table top drill press, a $20 Irwin deck vice and a lot of effort watching every video I could find on youtube! I quickly found a few problems!  Floor in basement isn't level, table isn't level, drill press deck isn't level and drill chuck/shank are not level ether!   Was a lot of fun coming up with ways to bring the deck and cuck as true as possible too one another.   I eventually got close and used several sheets of paper as shims to break the margin. I made one crazy mistake at the start with plate one.   I failed to check the RPMs the drill press had been set at for years.  I spent so much time leveling everything it just didn't occur to me at first why the bit was locking up and throwing long continuous threads of material.  Was at 1750RPMs with the 1/8 bit.  I was lucky I didn't snap it off.  I did notice some odd cupping on all of the plates after use.  I believe this was due to leveling issue, however I did also see some wear on holes of the same diameter that was not consistent from hole to hole.  I'm thinking these were manufacturing variances in the plates.  Very minor!  (tended to be on the end hole where the plate is beveled!) Defiantly a fun project!  Now to save up the money to build the rest of the gun!UB
